What's new since Beta 1:
Created a facility for checking files as they are opened which reports and corrects all errors in a way that the user can easily understand. You have three options when a problem is found:
- Fix the component and reload it.
- Ignore the component for now and don't load it.
- Delete the component from the library.
Added an "opaque" attribute to all console layout components so you can easily set the component to be transparent or not.
Corrected a capitalization mistake.
Turned the library button panels into grid layouts from flow layouts, as flow layouts can hide components if the window is too small.
Modified the summary information on the chip case designer so that it doesn't look editable. (Changed from JTextFields to JLabels).
Modified the horizontal and vertical marquees so that they give you the option to render shadows.
Modified all components that render shadows. You can no longer select the shadow position...just the color and whether or not it shows. The position is always lower left.
Created a new chip distribution planner that's accessible while designing a chip case.
Modified the console image component to make it render borders.
Implemented the player database functionality. Including the player database library (lives in the tournament component library), the player database designer and the player properties dialog.
Implemented a new calendar widget, currently used for picking birthdays in the player database designer and player properties dialog.
Started work on a hand predictor. It will be cool. The back-end plumbing is nearly complete...just need to work out the UI part. It'll work for 2-X hands and work for different types of games (Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, Razz, 7-card, 5-card, and whatever else I can think of). You'll also be able to specify cards that you know are gone from the deck (like someone's known folded hole cards).
Started work on videos that will be available on the website to visually demonstrate functionality. _________________ --

When I try to open the ZIP file, I get the following error from WinZip:
"Cannot open file; it does not appear to be a valid archive"
Has anyone else run into this same error? |

Works fine for me. Just tried it straight off the website.
Here's a link that might help: http://www.winzip.com/downprob.htm _________________ --

No problems here. Did you try saving it, and opening? Sometimes trying to open directly from download is wacky. |

When downloading, I opened instead of saved and it worked. Very strange.
Anyways, I have the software and will play with it over the weekend. |
