I've searched, so my apologies if this has been discussed before.

It would be nice to set a tournament end time, independent of the blind levels.

Our league plays on Sundays at a location that closes at 11pm. If we start at 5pm, and there are no reasons to delay the timers, we are done by 10:30. But I want to avoid adjusting the blinds and/or round times if we need to start late or have delays.

So when time= 10:30, end tournament. Then we finish the last hand, and award points based on chip counts.

We've been ok so far, and I can always watch the time or set an alarm, but hopefully I'm missing something, or it's an easy add-on.

similiarly,
in keeping with the cool abilities of the payout scheduler,

perhaps the computer can modify blind round times, in order to precipitate a finish at the desired time?

based on starting time, or, more interestingly, based on conditions like # of buyin's, knockouts, etc.

So that I just tell TM I want the tourney to end at midnight.
at 6PM 25 people buy in and we start the game
TM knows how many chips each player has and the denominations, plus, perhaps a user defined first blind. But it modifies the time from 40 minutes to 30 minutes because more people showed up.
Based on number of add=ons and rebuys the later blinds get similiarly modified.

Under the Betting Schedule, you may use the Blinds Wizard which will do exactley that. You enter the number of prospective players, starting chip amounts, smallest chip, etc. etc, the wizard will set your blinds accodringly. The best part is you can always edit the schedule to "tweak" it to your liking.[/quote]

The blinds' wizard is nice,
I was speaking of a more "on the fly" wizard, that would recalc itself at tourney start, after each blind, etc.
