|
|
Okay. I've done more thinking and starting to implement alerts for v3...
All alerts have the following attributes:
- Priority (does it display immediately or wait in the display queue)
- Message Duration (how long does the message stay on the screen?)
- Display Location (where does the message display? client/server/both/none)
- Audio Location (where does the audio sound? client/server/both/none)
- Audio Clip - what clip should play?
Alerts then break down into one of two categories...
Category 1: Simple Alerts
------------------------------
- Break started
- New blind level started
- Player added on
- Player bought in
- Player rebought
- Timer started
- Timer stopped
- Tournament ended
- Tournament started
- First player eliminated
- Player eliminated on the bubble
- Player elimniated in the money
- Player eliminated (general)
The simple events are static, meaning you don't create them. You just configure them.
Category 2: Time-Based events
-------------------------------------
Time-Based events have a "seconds before attribute" and "trigger". Triggers for Time-Based events will include:
- Time to End of Break Segment
- Time to End of Play Segment
- Time to Start of Break
- Time to Start of Tournament
You'll be able to create as many time-based events as you need. So, you could have one sound play with 5 minutes to go in a break, a different sound play with 3 minutes to go in a break and yet another sound play with 1 minute to go in a break.
Feedback, please. _________________ --
