downloaded and installed without much trouble.
tried it.
didn't like it that much.
felt like i was playing poker in a cartoon.
what's with these sound effects?
why do all of the avatars remind me of bunnies and horsies and kids' pajammies?
why did that guy just call my all in checkraise holding only middle pair/top kicker against my top set? (cha-ching!)
the cash games are poorly organized in the lobby screen. it's too busy.
the tournaments aren't organized much better, even if they do have reasonably good structures.
blah.
decided to give it another go because i'm a bonus whore, started ap.
immediately got some notice that there was a new(er) client now available.
tried to update the client.
the whole thing stopped working.
i was too lazy to mess with full tilt after that. |

I agree about the cartoonish nature of the avatars and backgrounds, but you can easily turn them off, which i did, and got a much quieter look. I also agree about the game and tourney info, could be better organized. i also wish there were some keyboard shortcuts, and that the table that needs your attention didn't jump to the front, despite interrupting your play on other tables.
but the cards fall truer and the competition seems to be more solid, and in the mac world, there are not a lot of choices that accomplish that. so i vote "aye"
I'm also up $600 for the week playing 1-2 NL sweet |

after running my online BR up extensively on fullcontactpoker.com -- and wearing my welcome thin after clearing the charter members' bonus and having to "verify" my account to continue cashing out, i am now going to move over to full tilt and take advantage of the 100% bonus by playing low(er)-limit NLHE.
with the updated client and some time, i've gotten to where i can at least tolerate the interface. been playing fake money while i wait for my funds to run the neteller gauntlet... |

So, it's safe to attempt the next Dr. Neau Invitational on Full Tilt?
Maybe we'll have a HORSE tournament. _________________ --

being used to pokerroom and its skins, i'll say that full tilt's action just seems to move slower. even with three tables running, i often have to sit and wait longer than i am used to while the network processes people's decisions.
in reality, this is probably a good thing, but is just hard to adjust to.
in about 7 hours of play, my roll has swung pretty evenly and i'm up about what could be expected for the limits i play. |

another note:
i agree that the competition does seem more solid. players are much tighter and let you know resoundingly if you're beaten.
this allows for great opportunities if you play fast, which i do in cash games. |

what ever happened with this? i have my BR sitting on neteller right now, having cleared as much bonus on FT as possible.
i think an online HORSE tourney with some of us could be fun, though. _________________ good players take far more beats, because they're getting it in good far more often. |
