Hi.

Is there a way to run a secondary prize pool?

What I want is a standard buy-in for some amount of chips, and a secondary volunteer buy-in, which won't buy you extra chips. The idea is that the secondary prize pool is sort of a bonus payed out to whoever placed highest of the people who bought in to the secondary pool.

Example:

Anne, Brady, Charlie and Debbie all buys in for $100. There is an option for a bonus pool for an additional $100, which Brady and Debbie decide to purchase in addition. The pools are now $400 and $200, respectively. The tournament ends with Anne as the winner, Brady as second, and Debbie third. Anne collects the prize for first place, but since Brady was the highest ranked finisher in the side pool, he collects the entire bonus of $200, in addition to whatever prize was allotted for second place.

We call this the "Highroller pot".

Not quite sure, but perhaps you can set up an add-on for zero chips. And then...

No that won't work. Doc would have to put a special attribute in the add-on that says "pay this to whoever bought this add-on."

Doc?
