I was reading AdverseYaw's ideas of different color backgrounds for each level and went on 3 tangets and came up with an awesome idea.
AdverseYaw had the idea for a global background per level so he can switch decks. I want to play with one color deck at one table and a different color deck at another table. Now I'm lucky enough to have 2 computers, one at each table. Wouldn't it be nice if table one could have a red background for the red deck and table two has a blue background for the blue deck?
So to do this, the Networking tab on the Server system would need to specify what table number each computer is at (including the server computer in case the server is at table 5 or something).
This would be really cool as a pre-tournament component for large games. If there was a computer per table, the pre-tournament screen could have the table name displayed so players could find what table they are at. Plus, that individual computer could list the names of the people only at that table. You would still have the Global leader board and all the functions, but it could be customized per table.
This idea mostly works for a computer per table but I guess it could work for a room full of tables. I.E. If I have 2 tables in the living room, 2 tables in the garage, and one computer in each room, the living room computer could display tables 1 and 2, and the garage computer could display tables 3 and 4.
The next idea would be to display differnet items on two screens attached to one computer. My work computer is a dual-head and when I test TM at work, the console is ALWAYS on the primary screen. Maybe there could be a way to pick which screen a colsole displays in.
Then top it off with both ideas combined; Computer 1 has Table 1 on screen 1 and table 2 on screen 2, Computer 2 has table 3 on screen 1 and table 4 on screen 2. Now that's complicated!
Of course these ideas are not really needed in a friendly home game. But if the good doctor wants TM to be the ultimate in poker hosting software, these options will have to be added down the line. Personally, I want to walk into a casino in a few years and see the Dr. Neau logo and think to myself (I knew him when... (ok well, I was on his user forum when...)). _________________ <thwack> NOooooooBODY expects to lose to Rewind!
