This software is amazing. I can't beleive how easy it made a tournament I had. Everyone who turned up thought it was a little sad at first and wasn't needed. But as soon as it came up with the elimination notices and timing the rounds and breaks for us people decided it was great software. I am so impressed!
Also I like the way it is programmed in Java so that I can use it flawlessly on my Linux system unlike most of the other ones out there which need Windows and/or Internet Explorer to run!
Please keep up the good work!
I will consider subscribing to pay for it if I decide I need the extra features, and if not then I will probably just drop in a donation - definately worth it!
[EDIT]
I feel I must add that I am not entirely happy with the support given by these forums however. The program is great - can't fault that. But I wasn't impressed by how I was singled out and picked upon when I came to ask valid questions.

I'd say that's a common player reaction, whether it's my software or another offering. I just try to provide more entertainment value...

Everytime I get a newbie coming to a WCRPL game, they say the same thing - "What's wrong with the kitchen timer?" But when they see everything is maintained, the payouts are already calculated, and they see the avg chip stack info, they go bonkers and want a copy.
"Sorry," says Max. "You'll need to go to drneau.com for your copy!"
Just this weekend, the fam got together for a bit of the Holdem. There was only 7 of us, which made using the program seem like overkill, but both the cousin-in-law and brother-in-law wanted a copy ("can you send me the files?") I told them sure - and sent them a link to drneau.com. Think I can get a cut of the action, Doc?

The satisfaction on knowing that someone is saving time because of you is all the satisfaction you need. I wouldn't want to ruin it with cash. _________________ --

the seating randomizer is a godsend. people used to piss and moan if we just told people to sit wherever. now they know it's randomized and they love it, even if they're seated next to someone really annoying or to the right of a LooAgg player and they know they'll have to bunker in.
the other thing is that the timer, once started, is completely out of anyone's hands. so, people that demand to play another hand at a certain level "because their blinds were up" are simply told to go argue with the computer.
overall, stuff like this really cuts down in those otherwise-numerous TD headaches... |

That's the best part of it for me too... although I tell them to go to the airport, buy a ticket to MN and go argue w/Dr Neau. _________________ - Dix |

At my games, I just shoot them. My dog buries them in my back yard, but first she takes their jewlery and wallet.

Yes the randomiser is very useful. In my tourneys I've done using TM people have been impressed by this feature. However we don't use it enough I feel - our way of randomising is often how close to your drink of choice you wanna sit. Like if someone brings in some Whisky I go sit by them!

I'm adding the "sit in the proximity of your favorite liquor" right after the "buy in with a sheep" one... _________________ --

Sheep are nice. They are cuddly. I like to count them at night.

And the avatars you've been setting for me don't demean me? I think you are just SLIGHTLY hypocritical here... |

Well I'm not a woman, I'm not married to prince charles, and I'm not posh like she is.
I think it's just a bit childish to change avatar as admin. Ok, tell me off for my one, or delete it, but you put one for me first which wasn't nice at all, then kept changing it to stupid things like this.
I take it professionality isn't a strong point... |

a) I'm admin. It's my bulletin board. I have a policy of reserving the right to give anyone an avatar who doesn't pick their own: http://www.drneau.com/BB/viewtopic.php?t=218 Poll existing members and I think you'll find that many of them have avatars that I chose. My personal favorites are:
Taco: http://www.drneau.com/BB/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=35
Frisco: http://www.drneau.com/BB/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=64
Defrane: http://www.drneau.com/BB/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=99
Bailey: http://www.drneau.com/BB/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=103
syklopz: http://www.drneau.com/BB/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=116
And my best ever, pietaster: http://www.drneau.com/BB/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=122
b) Pick your own avatar and I won't change it...unless your avatar is of the style that insults another member or is something I (yes, that's I...it is my BB) deem inappropriate. If you don't like it, stop posting. _________________ --

I like Bailey. One, it's obscure, two, it's from WKRP in Cincinnati - Great show.
I wonder what Doc would have chosen for me if I didn't load Mr. Simpson over there?
