|
|
The comparison chart on homepokertourney gave me some good ideas.
The next release will have a customizable tournament checklist added as another tournament component. You'll be able to start with a default checklist and customize it, or create your own. You'll be able to define your own groupings (like "2 weeks before", "1 week before", "morning of", "after tournament", etc.) and your own items in each grouping.
Each item will have a checkbox for whether or not it is complete, the name of the item, and an opportunity for you to have more descriptive help text about the item (for instance, the item might be "ask players to bring chairs", and the help text might be "I have 8, Sean has 6", etc.)
Also, you'll be able to add notes to each item (for the chair example, you would be able to log how many chairs each person is bringing as a note on the item).
Finally, since this is a tournament component, you'll be able to save it off and load it into other tournaments.
Please give me your feedback on this. Sound helpful? Anything missing? _________________ --

One of the other software packages I looked at had another tourney component that was pretty nice - expenses.
You could enter your expenses as line items and the costs are automatically deducted from the prize pool. An expense reoprt could then be generated if any questioned the rake. _________________ Lifes too short to play with cheap chips |

Wow - this is gonna be a full service program!!!
Are you going to have a standard template for those just getting started?

Yes. The checklist will be part of the tournament, so any edits to make to it will be saved and reloaded next time you bring the tournament in. _________________ --
