Well this how my second table turned out...
nothing out of the ordinary, but I'm pleased with it.
Cheers,

Very nice!
Might be a silly newbie question (never built a table) how'd you get the oval on the felt? Did you paint it in or did you buy it that way? _________________ 40 |

I made a stencil and applied it with screen printing ink.
The stencil was made from 3 sheets of card, from an art supplies shop, taped together.
The slit was cut with a scalpel and a combination of straight edge and home made compasses (long thin strip of wood, drawing pin - thumb tack - pushed through for the centre, then moved an 1/8"... scalpel held against the end of the wood).
As you cut the slit apply a peice of tape across it every 9 - 12" to keep the two peices aligned.
I sprayed the back of the stencil with 'spray mount', art supply shop again... laid it in position... then dabbed the yellow ink on with a piece of sponge, removing the tape holding the stencil together as you go.
Remove the stencil... et voila!!
Cheers,

You know, that would be really cool.
