I'm interested in knowing what chips people have, how many different colors they use, etc. I'll start.
I bought the 11.5g Single Dice. Nice balance between quality and price.
I started out with 5 colors but quickly got addicted to colors. Here's what I have
350 White (T1 value) - We rarely use these for tournaments any more
500 Red (T5)
450 Blue (T10)
400 Green (T25)
350 Orange (T50)
175 Black (T100)
100 Pink (T250)
50 Purple (T500)
25 Yellow (T1000) _________________ --

I am using 13.5 grams Pro Clay Double Suit
($135 for 1000 chips incl shipping @ pokershopping.com with promocode).
I've got 5 colors which do the trick very nice
300 White ($5)
300 Red ($10)
200 Blue ($25)
100 Black ($100)
100 Green ($500)
There are only these 5 colors in this chipset, this hasn't been a problem at all with tournaments. |

11.5g Composite Clay Dice design
We just use 4 colours, I have -
200 x Green (T25)
200 x Black (T100)
50 x Pink (T500) maybe more Purple than Pink??
50 x Yellow (T1000)
We only have room for 8 people at the moment, but this set would cater for twice as many using our existing blinds structure.
Regards,

Just got a 14g Tri-Color, 5 colors total:
450 red (T5)
350 green (T25)
125 black (T100)
50 blue (T500)
25 white (T1000)
Just handled a 21 person tourney with getting into the white chips. I think we could handle about 30 people total. |

I have a starter set of 1000 single dice chips in the standard colors.
I haven't played any cash games yet, so I've been using tournament denominations for them and they've worked great so far.
300 White (T5)
300 Red (T25)
200 Blue (T100)
100 Green (T500)
100 Black (T1000)
I think for cash games, I'm just going to move the decimal and keep the numbers the same. We are a pretty low-stakes crowd.
300 White ($.05)
300 Red ($.25)
200 Blue ($1.00)
100 Green ($5.00)
100 Black ($10.00) _________________ JumperJeff

150 White (1) Never Use
150 Red (5)
100 Blue (10)
50 Green (25)
50 Black (100)
Gonna buy some Purple and Yellow + some more Red Green and Black
Got the whole thing for >$60 so not too bad.

|
|
About 5,000 chips in denominations of 5, 25, 50, 100, and 500. The chips are a mix of the popular suited, and dice chips.
We have customized chips for both the JBPS and 5th Street Poker Parties... they are essentially the common suited chips with 1" labels applied to the center of the chips.
The concern over custom chips arose after one player accidentally left with a 500 chip. He had his chips in his pocket when he was moved to a new table during consolidation. I can't see anyone trying to cheat by bringing in their own chips, but it eliminates the opportunity. I'm just anal this way.
I created the images myself and sent them off to be printed with a high quality laser printer on high gloss label paper.
Before application to the chips I applied 3 coats of digital photo protectant spray to the label sheets... this really added to the chips! Highly recommended.
I'll try to find my information on the chip label vendor if people are interested.

I've got the 11.5g suited. 800 total.
200 White(1)
100 Red(5)
100 Blue(10)
75 Green(25)
75 Black(100)
50 Purple(500)
50 Yellow(1000)
50 Pink (5000)
50 Gray (10,000)
25 Light Blue (50,000)
25 Orange (100,000)
I originally started with 300 of the White, Red, Blue, Green, and Black, but that wasn't enough for our first game. Of course, after winning the first game, it was really easy to purchase the 500 addon set with all the pretty colors. I highly doubt our game would EVER get past my "yellow" level, but who knows. |

As soon as I win $2000 I'm heading over to HomePokerChips.com and ordering myself a set of 2000 custom chips...
Lets see, we usually play $20, with 5-7 people, 2nd usually gets their money back...
I only have to win about 25 games (without losing any -- or at least finishing 2nd), and if I was on that kinda streak... I'd have a hard time getting any action. Anyone wanna make a donation? |

For my cash home game (typically .25/.50 pot-limit) I've got 650 of these 9.5g clay from http://pokerchips.com in four denominations $.25-Gray/$1-Blue/$5-Red/$25-Green
For tourneys I've got 4500 of these...
Which are your typical cheap (roughly 20c ea.) 11.5g composite.
For Hold'Em/Omaha $5-Red/$25-Green/$100-Black/$500-Orange/$1000-Pink/$5000-Blue
For 7-Stud $.25-Blue/$1-Gray/$5-Red/$25-Green/$100-Black/$500-Orange _________________ - Dix |

Hey Dix - are you happy with the aces chips? I think they look good for a composite chip but they look like they have too much white on the sides. I'd rather have a white mark and more color on the edge I think? Do you have a problem after playing with them? _________________ 40 |
