Hi

i've just recently trialed the new v3 version for my empolyers and noticed a problem and was wondering if anybody else has expericenced the same.

when the console is running there is a major amount of lagging where scrolling information is stuttering and the countdown clock is stuttering also, but the main clock continues regardless, we were running a 7 hour tournament with 20 minute levels but the lagging meant that i was losing 2 minutes a level (i managed to lose 5 seconds in 1 minute).

Unfortunately i lost a complete level due to the lagging, i hope this can be resolved as on the whole the new version is very good (i do have a few other issues though) if not we will be unable to continue using this software.

Sounds like the system was overloaded with something.

What are the system parameters? (OS/Processor/Memory)? What else was running on the system at the same time?

Vista is taking all of the resources.

1 GB is nearly enough for running Vista, so any other program has to sweat to get some action done.

If possible upgrade your memory to 3 GB.

P.S. What business are you in for your employees to use TM? Can i learn this skill? Laughing

Yeah, what really matters is what else you're running.

I'd assume with 1GB of memory that you've got a ton of swapping going on with Vista and whatever else is running.

As a note, my wife's home computer has 512MB of memory and the app runs fine.

I have TM running on a P3-850 with 512 MB RAM, OS is WinXP and it's running fine with 90-95 % CPU load Wink.

So, if your OS is grabbing all the CPU- and gfx-power, you need to upgrade or just disable all the funky gfx nonsense stuff in Vista!
