I've been putting work into the hand calculators over the last week.

I now have a functioning Hold'em Odds Calculator

A quick tour of the interface for the Hold'em calculator:
- 12 player hands: You specify the number of hands you want to calculate odds for by marking the hands as "active".
- Ability to kill a hand: Lets say you do odds for 3 hands, then one of the hands folds. Just mark the hand as "dead" and the cards will be noted as dead.
- Board: Nothing special here, other than you can run odds with any number of board cards you wish (instead of having to put down the entire flop)
- Available cards: You have the ability to mark cards as "dead", like if you accidentally flip a burn card. Blue outlined cards are in a hand and red outlined cards are known dead.
- Reset button: To reset everything
- Run button: To do the calculation

I just need to firm up the usability a little and add the "insurance calculation" portion of it (for the Hellmuth's out there).

Oh, by the way, I'll also have a "Omaha Hi" calculator:

...an Omaha 8/b calculator:

...and Stud, Stud 8/b and Razz calculators:

I filled in the last hand i didn't play (real pain!). I had 7h6h, my opponent had QsTc. Flop was 8h9hJh. His chance to win this hand is 0,00 %, but he may split the pot with me if 2 of these 3 cards come on turn and river: Qh, Kh or Ah. Your odds calculator tells me, he has 0,02 % chance to win, but that's the percentage for him to split, not to win. Please don't call me Hellmuth because i mentioned that bug Wink. It would be nice if you could add a field for a split-percentage to each player and reduce the winning-chance with that value.

That's not a bug. That's the way I've chosen to do it (and actually the way the WSOP broadcasts do it).

2-way chops get assigned to each player as 1/2 of a win, three-way chops get assigned ot each player as 1/3 of a win and so on.

The little "tie" field in calculators like the one on CardPlayer is nice, but that can also be misleading because you can't tell the difference between 2-way ties and 5-way ties.

The bottom line is when calculating your odds or equity, all you really need is the win percentage.

In your scenario, if you play that turn and river 1000 times with a $1 pot, you can expect to walk away with $2. Putting the ties on there doesn't change that (you'd split the $1 4 times, which is $2).

Here's an example to better illustrate my reasoning...

Player 1 has AsKd.
Player 2 has AdKs.
Player 3 has AhKc.
Board is QsJdTh.

Each player ties 100% of the time, nobody wins.
What return can each player expect? That's pretty straightforward...but

Now, another:

Player 1 has AcQh
Player 2 has AdKd
Player 3 has AsKs
Board is QsJdTh

Player 1 win = 2.21%, tie = 9.19%
Player 2 win = 4.98%, tie - 87.82%
Player 3 win = 4.98%, tie = 87.82%

What return can each player expect now? What could be a good insurance bet for player 3?

With a simple win percentage (with ties taken into account), it's easy.

For me, winning means, i get 100% of that pot. If i wanna split, i could marry *g*. I think, we have 2 totally different meanings for that topic Wink.
