Ran a tournament with what's going to be beta 4 last Saturday evening.

This was the first bounty tournament using v3, and it went great. The only bug I found is that the results on the console were only reflecting the payout schedule and not including the bounty totals...but that's easily fixed.

That's a good lead in to my latest TM question... can V3 calculate bounties from a pool of money distributing various amounts based on league status (i.e. percentage of league points or player ranking)?

Heh?

I think MissileMan is suggesting a variable bounty based on the rank of the player who got knocked out. For example, if the top player in the league (i.e. most league points earned to date) gets knocked out, the eliminator gets paid a $10 bounty. If the second place player gets knocked out, $9. Third place, $8, etc.

Can't say that I'd use this feature, but I think that is what MissileMan was suggesting.

What I'm suggesting here is that I have a Bounty Pool of $217, and a total of 23 players.
The league leader has 10.97% of the league points earned by the 23 players, and the 4th place player has 7.78% (and various percentages for all the others).
I would like to distribute the Bounty Pool across all of the players based on the point percentages described.
This is what the result would look like:

Does that make sense?

Yeeks.

My initial thoughts:
- That's a specialized off-case that I'd have a hard time justifying spending time on adding.
- If you can calculate with your spreadsheet, you can actually use public-targeted bounties to do this...the app just won't do the distribution based on points for you

Problem with doing it through a speradsheet is that, like chip distribution, I would need to know well ahead of time who will actually buy in (I don't know about anyone else, but I always seem to have 3 to 5 people who don't confirm and show up (or not) anyway, and at least 1 or two people bring an unannounced guest... so knowing ahead of time is really knida out the window). The calculations are actually very simple, it's the entry of data into the spreadsheet at tournement time (while taking money and setting up TM) thats the tuff part
