Ha. There was a band in the 80's led by the guitarists from 'Genesis' and 'Yes'. They called themselves GTR.

Rolling Stone the magazine gave their first album the following review:
SHT.

That's a true fact. Very Happy

I actually bought that LP. Didn't think it was SHT at the time, but looking back it sure was.

"When the Heart Rules the Mind"

Steve Howe (good Yes) and Steve Hackett (early Peter Gabriel Genesis). This was Howe's post-Asia experiment. Produced by Buggles & Asia keyboardist Geoff Downes.

I remember an interview on MTV where Steve Hackett argued that HE actually invented the finger-tapping technique used by Eddie Van Halen.

And boy, did Asia go into the crapper after Howe left.

Other albums/CDs I regret purchasing:
- White Lion: Pride
- Kingdom Come: Kingdom Come
- Andy Taylor: Thunder

I had a college radio show a few years back. I always wanted to do a show that would link artists and groups togeteher - sort of like the 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon game. There are a few bands that would have been a great junction point - like Yes, Cream, Genesis, Yarbirds, Buffalo Springfield, Asia, Damn Yankees, Styx, Wilbury's, GTR, BTO - you get the picture. What a tangled web that would be! And good radio too...

It's my assertion that ther just isn't enough Genesis played on the radio...

Denny Carmassi played in Coverdale/Page and Heart
Mark Andes played in Heart and Firefall
Michael Clarke played in Firefall and the Flying Burrito Brothers
Bernie Leadon played in the Flying Burrito Brothers and The Eagles.
