In v3, hot keys will be customizable.

What other functions do you need available via hot keys? I *think* I have them all covered.

Remember that things like overlay selection are still available via a pop-up menu. Hot keys are meant to be for common tasks you need to perform *during* a tournament where you don't want the console obscured (if you only have one monitor).

How about adding a skip current level bind. There are times when we skip breaks or skip betting levels due to player counts. This would be nice to have rather then selecting menu ten skip level. I think by default it would keep the timer going since u have a bind for toggle timer.

Im not sure if thats what the set level bind was for but just saying.

thx.

Good work Doc, this was a badly needed feature. You just gained 5 karma points and gained a level... Wink

Maybe a hotkey for "Play sound #1" and "Play Sound #2."

And although I recognize that you envision overlays to be displayed via the pop up menu, it would nonetheless be nice to do this via hotkey too.

Question is what is "sound 1"?

Could pop up a dialog that lets you pick sounds to play...

In v2, you have a sound configuration menu where you can associate specified audio clips to play upon the happening of a defined event. I envisioned modifying that menu (or its counterpart in v3) with an event that is defined simply as "Sound 1" or "Sound 2" (or "Hotkey Sound 1" or "Hotkey Sound 2"). You could then associate a specified sound clip with the Sound 1 label in that menu. Then, in the hotkey menu, you can define which hotkey makes that sound play. The end result is that during a tourney, I can push a button and the computer will play a clip that tells my players "Smoke Break is Over, Get Back to Your Seats" or something more clever.

Hmmm...good example.

I'll add that to the consideration list. That would mean a console theme would have hot key sound assignments as part of it (which isn't hard to do).

Could have both the hot keys AND the dialog options (for other sounds).

Working on this again...actually hooking the functions up now.

When you hit a key that isn't mapped, you'll get a dialog that says you hit an unmapped key.

Then, it's up to each individual function to figure out if it's valid. For instance, if you toggle the timer when there's no active tourament, you'll get a note saying "Can't toggle timer....no active tournament".
