Working on seating now. I actually forgot that I had developed a lot of the v3 seating capability over a year ago. Embarassed

So, I'm implenting new seating features for v3:
- "Clock Table" - this lets you denote which table(s) is closest to the clock
- "Clock Operator" - this is an attribute on a player that lets you denote who is in charge of running the software. This will probably be *you*.
- "Expert" - another attribute on a player that lets you denote, for your tournament, who is expert in the particular game you're playing....so, for instance, when you have your first HORSE tournament, you might want to make sure you have someone at each table who's played enough Razz to make sure things go well.
These three settings are for your own tracking purposes, but they'll also be used by the random seating job to make sure people are seated per your settings....to ensure that someone who can operate the clock is seated near the clock and that game experts are distributed as much as possible.

Completed this last night, it's really slick.

In v2, I always had to seat myself first (Table 1, Seat 1) and then seat everyone else randomly. If, for some reason, I needed to wipe the seating and do it again, I'd unseat everyone and do that.

Now you can:
- Identify which table is the clock table.
- Identify who will operate the clock

And additionally:
- Identify who the "game experts" are.

The random seating wizard will then:
- Figure out if it needs to seat a clock operator
- Figure out if you are trying to seat experts
...and will then...
- Ensure a clock operator is seated at one of the tables identified as a "clock table" in the first open seat.
- Ensure "game experts" are seated with at least one per table in a random seat
- Seat everyone else randomly.

If you don't want to take advantage of the clock operator or expert functionality, then just don't identify clock operators or experts...then the random seating wizard will operate normally.

Video to come soon.

will v3 have the option of logging the seating at the beginning of the tourney (or at least when players are initially seated) and then announce seat changes and table consolidations in the history?

right now, in v2, i have to remember to log the seating at the beginning of the tourney. it then logs the seating automatically after every seat change or table consolidation, but doesn't announce who got moved or which table got broken up
