Strange "Ace High"

I know that this should be easy, but i just can't see the option.
I want to set a background image, with the number etc laid over the top of it. I've seen it done in a bunch of examples, but can't figure it out for myself.
Help?
Edit : OK so getting the latest version always helps. |

Yep, fixed.
Adding a big background image seems to make the design interface run like a dog. Normal? |

Pretty much. Happened to me with too many or too large images.
Sometimes the images just won't load at all, and the clock slows down. |

make sure it's not an animated gif
resize your jpeg/non-animated gif to exactly fit the window. i found those tips helped me greatly |
