Doc,

Just wondering when we might be able to use the new version. Maybe for us paying customers or even just those who request it, it would be great to actually run a tournament w/ v.3, even if all the cool extras haven't been implemented yet. Did I convince you???? Cool

Thanks again for your work!

Phil

Seriously, though, is there a time frame? If "in the next two months", then I'll hold off designing new consoles. If "three to six months at the earliest" then I can do stuff.

Quit touching me!

I agree. We're all paying this quarterly fee. Can you at least give us an estimate on how long it will be?

There's honestly no time line...the scope for the release isn't firm, so I can't really have a timeline.

All I know is I don't want to release something half-baked.

So it could be anywhere from later on today to 10 years from now? There must be SOME timeline. Not to be a pest, but it affects a few of my decisions . . .

Question.... why would any "proposed" release date effect your decision when going from v2 to v3 is not going to cost anything and anything you have set up in v2 is likely to be directly transferable to v3?

Taken at face value... your post doesn't make much sense... especially given the other options out there.

Even if your decision is based solely on v2, it still kicks every other options' ass in price vs. features.

To make sure everyone understands, my plan is exactly what Dix states in the first paragraph.

Trust me, I want v3 for my home games as much as you guys do.

To be honest, I was working frantically on it until that little license conspiracy popped up, then I lost a bit of motivation to develop for a while...but I'm past all that.

What did I miss? What was the license conspiracy? Am I wanted by the FBI?
