There's an explanation in the documentation (built into the app if you didn't know), but I had a hard time explaining it.

It determines how long the low-value chips stay in play. The larger the round factor, the longer the low-value chips stay in play.

A little background on the way the wizard produces the betting schedule...

You enter your parameters: Desired length, round duration, starting bet ratio, ending bet ratio, blah blah.

The wizard then calculates the raw schedule using an exponential curve (standard % increase per round).

That raw schedule has bet amounts with fraction numbers...so the L1 SB might be 10, the L2 SB might be 13.333, etc.

So, I have rounding to do. But what do I round to? And what's an appropriate rounding amount for each level? Do I round to 1? 5? 25? Any number you pick can't be applied across all levels...it would be too big for some and too small for others.

SO, it uses a "rounding factor" that evaluates your chip case and for each level, picks a chip to round to.

*SO*, if the raw schedule has bets of 153/306 and your rounding factor is 20, it's going to round to the first chip that's more than 150 divided by 20 (1.5), which is probably 5.

Sorry you asked yet?
