Hi Everyone,
I downloaded Dr. Neau's program over a month ago but haven't had the chance to use it for a tournament yet. This coming Friday, I have a tournament scheduled that will have over 100 people.
I think this program will be very helpful for the organizing and managing of this tournament. I am very pleased with what I have seen so far.
My only problem/question is in regards to the seating overlay. I have the tables named "Table 1", "Table 2", "Table 3"...etc but when the program is displaying the tables they do not scroll in order. They don't seem to go through in any order at all...
Is there any way I can control the order in which they are displayed on the screen?
Thanks,
Dave Smith |

I've never had that many tables, but I woudl expect them to scroll in the order they were set up in the seating manager.......if this isn't the case I'm at a loss...maybe the Dr can help.... |

I've also noticed that they don't scroll in order. I didn't pay too much attention to it since I was just running it through a test tournament, but it's in need of an update if you want to use it for real.
Actually, I think that the current version of the seating overlay needs quite a bit of work before I'd consider it "tournament-ready". _________________ JumperJeff

Okay, you can't throw that out there without suggestions... _________________ --

Scrolling order.
Easy enough to make them scroll in a particular order (right now, it's basically random).
Options:
- Order they appear in the breakdown table.
- Alphabetical
Note: Alphabetical means "Table 1111" comes before "Table 2". _________________ --

All I meant was that the current iteration just shows one table at a time, and would be pretty cumbersome for a 10 table tournament.
I'm sure you hate it when people compare TM with TD, but I personally really like the TD seating screen which shows lists each table with everyone's names in it all on one screen.
I'm not sure how many tables TD will display at once, but it's very simple, and functional. Everyone can just look up at the screen and go sit down. With TM's current seating manager, if you're at table one, and didn't look up until table 2 is displayed, you'd have to wait for all the other tables to be shown before you get back to one again. _________________ JumperJeff

To me, it's obvious - the order they appear in the Seating tab..

PS - I'd like to see them all on one screen too, if possible. |

My only comment about the table overlay is they seemed to scroll to fast for me when I tried using them Saturday night.......I couldn't get everyone seated before it switched to the next table.....so maybe a setting for the display time...... |

Next release will let you show a variable number of tables on the main console at one time. You can pick from 1, 4, 9, 16 or 25 (25 is getting pretty small).
You'll also be able to specify the delay between updates. _________________ --

I think it's much easier to look for my name in a list of ordered names than to look for it at each table. Perhaps another view which shows list of ordered names w/ Table Name, and Seat Position listed and then to flip flop back to the other view if needed.
Does this make sense? |

For a tourney with 50+ people in it that makes total sense.......but for me with 2 or 3 tables what the DR has now works.....at least for me....
PS You really should post this under enhancements..... |
