The latest release of beta 4 is available. I give you v3 beta 4.7.
Where to get it
You can download the current release here:
http://drneau.com/releases/DrNTMv3beta4.7.zip
When I post beta4.8, it will have a new link...FYI
Note that this beta now has the internal license key that will be in the GA product.
Those users paying for access can contact me directly regarding licensing concerns beyond the beta period.
Can I use this for real??
I actually have been for 8 months...
The underlying architecture is to the point where I'm confident that any data you save from this version will work fine with future versions, so I'd say feel free to start using this for real tournaments....just remember that it is still beta software.
Note: If you've been using the previous betas, you may get some warnings when you open your repository for the first time. I've added some new data attributes for new features and the app is just letting you know that it didn't find attributes it expected. Review the warnings, but go ahead and load the components.
My intention is that there is no beta 5.X...we're going GA next. Just a bunch of mini-betas from here on out.
What's new since beta 4.6:
- New alert: "In the Money"
- Bugfix: Betting schedule not loading refs to multiple add-ons/rebuys correctly
- Cash flow now has drill-down enabled
- Bugfix: Tooltip for "Bounty and Side Bet Payouts" fits on screen
- Can import an avatar directly in the player properties dialog
- Tabbing into cells in player properties dialog selects text
- Misc code improvements
- Bugfix: Vertical marquee model attributes are all carried over correctly
- Bugfix: Fixed exception when activating a non-league tournament
- Saddy: Removed the core "presidents" player database
- Roster table has "copy" capability (can paste table contents into Excel)
- Bugfix: License player limit is enforced per license rather than held at 50
- Client network panel buttons now have icons
- Server network panel buttons now have icons
- Bugfix: Next betting level on clients is now getting updated correctly
- Can import audio directly in the player properties dialog
- New report: Multi-player league summary
- New report: Tournament history
- New report: Seating chart
- New report: Roster
- New report: Chip values
- New report: Chip distribution plan
- New report: Checklist
- Modified league standings report to dynamically show pertinent data
- Enabled roster fields "Has Been Paid", "Has Paid" and "Present"
- You can search for a player in the roster
- Modifying a scoring method now updates all tournaments (and therefore, leagues) that are impacted by that method
- Bugfix: Fixed issue with scoring method planner not liking finish > 1
- Improved the avatar rendering on alerts to be more intelligent if a player doesn't have an avatar
- You are now notified at elimination time if you have a seated inactive player (so you don't forget)
- Table consolidation now leaves players locked in seats at tables that aren't being removed
- Bugfix: You can no longer add "listed" players to the standings
- Bugfix: No more exception when ending a simple tournament _________________ --

Excellent timing for this release for me personally. I have a game tonight and will use the new Beta. I will report back any issues, should there be any. |

Do you have an approximate date for official release of V3? I can't wait to use it. I decided not to use the betas since I will have to heavilly modify the interface and don't want to have to do it over and over. Also I can't risk the software crashing on me
But every time I come here I get excited on the features of V3... |

1) You won't need to Modify the Interface more than once (unless you want to change it again later).
2) The software hasn't crashed (to my knowlege from reading the posts here) once... it has done some quirky things that The Good Doctor has been very dilligent at fixing.
It's pretty darned stable!!! Use and abuse it!! |
