This is something that occasionally happened to me using v2, and just happened while I was running a test tournament.
Basically no keyboard shortcuts work. I can't figure out what conditions prompt this. Most of the time it's fine, this just happens maybe one tournament in 5 or 6.
could be an issue with Java on Mac, any similar issues on Windows for anyone? |

When they don't work, will they work after you click on the console?
If so, then the console didn't have focus, and therefore your windowing system wasn't forwarding the keystrokes to it. _________________ --

No. Once they fail, the only thing that I have found that re-activates them is re-starting the app.
(I think we had this exact conversation when I reported this with v2 ) |

I was messing around some more. Was able to reproduce with this sequence:
1. Console is full screen & responding to keyboard
2. Using Cmd-tab, activate Firefox.
3. Right click on console, which is visible behind Firefox, bringing up menu.
4. Click on console, outside menu, which apparently restores focus to console, but now keyboard shortcuts don't work.
5. Cmd-tab to another app and back to TM doesn't restore keyboard function.
6. Clicking on TM in the dock doesn't either.
7. Switching to the config window & then clicking on the console doesn't either.
8. Selecting a display mode (doesn't matter if it's the same one that is currently in use) does restore keyboard functionality.
So at a minimum it looks like it could well be the focus issue as you suggest, Doc, and maybe I've found how to get the functionality back the next time I lose it. |
