Last night I created my chip case and a new plaque design, this morning the case is not available and the plaque is only partially complete (all of the positional information for "rectangles" are missing).

Well, that doesn't add up. Items are saved to the repository immediately after you edit them.

What occurred immediately after you created the chip case? Did you leave the app up for a while, did you exit immediately, did it crash, did you kill it abnormally? Did you get any errors when you closed the editors?

Did you get any errors next time you started it before you noticed the missing/incomplete items?

After editing the chip case and plaque, I did some dashboard editing, then shut everything down and went to bed, no abnormal aborts or anything like that. There was an error that I didn't capture when I fired up the app this morning, I assume it was to do with the chip case, but I was groggy and didn't pay too close attention.

I just tried re-editing the plaque, when done I hit apply... The changes to the rectangles are not being saved. At the top of the editing screen it say that I'm working on a COPY of the chip design, is that normal?

Also, the chip case file seems to be in the repository, but the program is not seeing it.

Zip up your repository and send it to me...and yeah, please don't ignore errors if you're going to tell me something isn't working Smile

I've reproduced the rectangle issue. It'll be fixed for the next release.

Working on a copy is normal...that's so you can cancel if you totally screw it up.

Okay...you have that chip case in your repository and you get NO errors when you start the app??

This is a really important question. If you get no errors and it doesn't load, then that's one problem I need to fix. If you get an error saying it can't load it, then that's another problem I need to fix.

BTW, when I load it, a BIG dialog pops up with red text saying, "Unable to load chip case blah blah blah".

Okay...assuming you were getting an error...

The XML parser I use apparently doesn't like the "#" in the file name. I'm guessing it was converting the filename to a URL directly and not accounting for a "#" being in the name.

I think I've fixed it for the next release, but I want to test it out.

For now, rename your chip case so it doesn't have a "#" in the filename.

Getting rid of the # symbol seemed to work!!

Fixed this for the next release. This would have been an issue with any component...not just chip cases.

Very nice, that doesn't add up. Items are saved to the repository immediately after you edit them.
