Working on the license enforcement right now.
I'm setting it up so that if you don't have a license, you'll still be able to open old tournaments and leagues as "read only" (unlike v2 where you can't even look at them). _________________ --

Since you are working on that I have a request to make...
Can you put a grace period in the software so that if you forget to come get the new licence, you can run the tournament a few times (say 2 or 3 times) without it being renewed?
I don't have Internet accès where I run the tournamanents and last month I got the very bad surprise of seeing my license expire. I forgot to come get the new key and I was stuck. Had to drive home and back (10 miles each way) to fix the problem and be able to run the tournament.
Could be something really simple like a reminder the license expired and a counter that allows you to run the tourney a few times. Like Shareware sometimes use.
What do you think? |

I hear what you're saying, but it isn't really feasible for me to put a grace period in.
Instead...
- You'll be prompted with a dialog each time you start the app letting you know exactly what you are licensed for and when it expires
- I'll be looking at something other than a month-by-month license posted on the site...like giving you a license good until your payment expires. _________________ --

The reminder is a good idea. At least I (or others) won't forget it. Longer validity on the licence is also good. First time I forgot, but man I was in panic when the App would not load my templates. |
