Here's the state of the betting schedule in v3...narrated by a Silon.

http://drneau.com/BettingSchedule/BettingSchedule.html

What you'll see:
- You can add any segment at any spot in the schedule (rather than only at the end)
- You can select all, select all pre, select all play or select all breaks
- Once you select multiple segments, you can modify all of them at once: durations, limit, pause, console, add-ons, rebuys, antes, bring-ins, blinds, bets.
- You can import from other schedules (and export this schedule to a new component)
- You can set fixed breaks
- You can have an ad-hoc break
- Segment start/stop time estimation are always updated based on the current state of the schedule (where you are, what time it is, time in round, fixed breaks, etc.)
- A graph to visually check the rate at which bets are increasing.

Thoughts?

I'm all excited!

Looks good. Is it possible to select based on criteria such as Game Type? I sometimes want to make changes on all levels of a particular game in a Mixed Game tourney.

Also, are the levels sortable by the different headings, cuz that would be a decent workaround if I can group all 'Stud' levels and shift-click to select them.

Thanks for the preview.

I'm impressed.

Spelling of "Tournaent End" at around 3:00 mark in your level timings tab but other than that I can't wait for the new release....picky bastard aren't I? Cool

To avoid confusion around the progression of the schedule, this is one of the tables that won't be sortable.

I'll have to think about how to select all levels of a given "criteria". How important is that really? I'm thinking of HORSE where I might want to select all Hold'em levels...but I'd only have 4-5 in there anyhow.

No, it's definitely not a deal-breaker, and I can understand the probs with making it sortable. Just a thought.

Just implement a "Select Play Levels Based on Criteria" button/dialog.

Lets you select all play levels that match all the criteria you specify, including:
- ID >/< X
- Duration >/</=/!= X
- Game = X
- Limit Type = X
- Ante >/</=/!= X
- Bring-In >/</=/!= X
- Small Blind >/</=/!= X
- Large Blind >/</=/!= X
- Small Bet >/</=/!= X
- Large Bet >/</=/!= X
- Preferred Console = X

You select which of the fields you want to use as criteria, select the comparator (if applicable) and the value to compare against. Play segments matching all the criteria you've set will be selected.

Best of all, if you bring up the dialog again, your previous settings are saved. (Thought that would be a nice little added thing).

Development time: 90 minutes.

A lot of updates since the video. Here's a screen shot of the new betting schedule panel:

What's new:
- Streamlined the look
- Added a tab for chip consolidation calculation. If the betting schedule is part of a tournament, the "chips in play" and "chip case" will be fixed. If the betting schedule is a component, you can set them as you wish. In either case, the consolidation calculation only happens when you hit the "refresh" button.
- The timer is at the top. The buttons (left to right) are for: "Start Countdown", "Start Tournament", "Start Timer", "Pause Timer", "End Tournament", "Set Level" and "Set Remaining Duration".
- "Start Countdown" will automatically add a "pre-tournament" segment to your schedule if it doesn't already have one (new for v3).
- Consolidated all non-standard break info into the upper-right subpanel.

Here's the "Select Play Segments Using Criteria" dialog:

Whee. Developing is fun.

Just added a wizard operation to the betting schedule that lets you multiply or divide ALL bets by a specified amount.

That's cool - sometimes when we only get like 6 people at a tourney we'll increase the buy-in. We can still play with the same amount of Ts, of course, but we're accustomed to a set-up where 1T=$1, so in that situation I could just apply a standard multiplier and then make minor adjustments.

I could use that to set up different betting schedules, and then all I really need is to have betting schedules linked to buy-in levels so the right schedule loads automagically when I change the buy-in!

Great...now he tells me... Rolling Eyes

I just last night finished going through and multiplying all our blind levels by 5 for a one off tournament and it was a pain in the arse!

So now that you're all excited and in a good mood is there any word on the new release?

Doc, you know sooner or later you will have to pull the plug, let the release out, and then update the release. I'm not trying to be a pain I am just drooling like a St. Bernard over here.

Everyone in the league just digs the shit out of the TM and I figure next chance I get I will add your link to our website.

Understood, but I gotta give you something that runs.

Right now, it's be like a car company introducing their new model without any wheels.

Added another good capability for modifying the betting schedule...

You can select multiple play levels and change all of one type of bet for them (change all antes to "10") for example.

You can now say, "For all levels I have selected, set the large blind to 2x the small blind".

You select the levels. You select what bet to change. You specify either an amount or another bet and a ratio.

Cool.

Yes, but if the engine runs we can still start to learn how to operate the shift.
