Here's a hypothetical situation based on certain true facts. My monthly tourney is on the last Saturday of the month. This month, that happens to be the last day of the month. The day on which the license expires.

If I were to forget to update my password, or (though this will never happen) the developer were to forget to put the new password in the special area, what would happen to my in-progress tourney (which is part of a league)?

No, but you'd be screwed if you restarted the app.

For performance reasons, the check against the password is verified successfully once per run. From then on, the check routine knows you're valid.
