I am posting this cause I am exhausted trying to actually get a table that I paid for back in september from this guy...

In September, I ordered a poker table from PimpMyPoker.com. It arrived in October damaged due to poor crating. He agreed to make and ship me a new table and to not put me to the back of the line so that I would have to wait longer. I emailed him several times during the period up to now inquiring about my table, and he took a good week, sometimes longer to reply to emails, twice giving me the same status update. This past Monday I got a voicemail from him, and he said that the table was finished, and that it would be shipped out Wednesday, and that he'd send me the tracking information as soon as he shipped it. No suprise, I didn't receive any tracking information on Wednesday. I called his business on Thursday, nobody answered, I left a message. I called his business on Friday, nobody answered, I left a message. I let Saturday and Sunday pass, and then on Monday (today), I called his business, AGAIN nobody answered, so I AGAIN left a message. I let about 6 hrs pass with no response, when I remembered I had his cellphone number, so I called that, no answer.... left a message.

Below are the e-mails that I have saved from them since my first table was shipped:

Ok, so the table was picked up earlier today. It is being shipped via
Overnite Transportation. We can both track its progress either by their
800 number (800-333-7400) or also their website, which I believe is
overnite.com. The tracking/pro # is: CRT 888 194 952.

I sent the cupholders separately. The brass edging that I put on has a
clear protective film on it that you can peel off.

Dave,

At the advice of the truck driver from Overnite, I had to refuse the
shipment of the table because the armrest at one end was pretty
damaged. No offense, the table looked great, but for the price I am
paying for it, I just cannot live with that sort of damage. The quality
of the table itself looked great, but the packaging looked
insignificant, and it looks like that might have been what caused the
damage. I hope that you can work out something with me to fix this issue.

Thanks,
Jonathan

Jonathan,

To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. We've never had a
table damaged before in transit. We've always been confident that our
packaging/shipping practices would avoid anything like this happening.

Obviously you were correct in refusing the table if it was damaged. Like
you said, for what you paid, you should not have to settle for damaged
merchandise.

As for the damage, did it appear as though the crate was damaged in some
way? Whether it's Overnite or Roadway, I always personally assist the
driver in getting the crate onto the truck. Obviously anything can happen
to the crate and table once it leaves our shop and is transported to the
distribution center.

I assume Overnite will bring the crate back to our shop. Once we get it
back I can evaluate the damage and make the necessary repairs.

I can give you an update once we have a chance to look at the table.

Once again, Ed and myself apologize for this and will make amends to avoid
this problem again.

It did appear as thought the top of the crate was damaged... the guy from overnight advised me to tell you that putting a sign on the crate such as "Fragile, this side up" would prevent the crate from being stacked sideways.... which appears might have been what happened to the table. It appears that the felt and the racetrack were nicely wrapped and protected... but the armrest ripped probably from shifting around in the crate... and since that's the most outward part of the table, it was probably in most need of extra protection.

Did you ever find out if the table was getting shipped back to you? I tried entering the tracking number, but it still says the table is in Milwaukee. I was also wondering, you said you shipped out the cupholders separately, but I haven't received those yet... were those actually shipped separately, or had you just planned on shipping those separately?

I just received a letter from Overnite saying that the crate is at their
distribution center, which I believe is just a couple of miles from our
shop. I can contact them tomorrow to see what the deal is. Because the
table/crate left our shop in undamaged condition, I really hope Overnite
will compensate me for the damages to the table. After I talk to them
I'll give you another update.

Ok, so the table/crate will be delivered to the shop on Tuesday for me to
inspect. Once I am able to see the table, I can tell you what the next
step will be. I'm really hoping the damage is not that bad and I can get
the table back on the road and to you.

Thanks for keeping me updated, I really appreciate it.

Dave,

I was just wondering if you have received the table and/or assessed the damage to it yet.

Then, sometime before thanksgiving, I got a phone call saying that they'd start on a new table, not put me to the back of the line, and that I'd be sent 2 free decks of Copag cards for my patience. Note, their website says that a table takes 3-4 weeks to complete, so if I hadn't been pushed to the back of the line, no tables would be completed from start to finish before mine had been completed from start to finish. The emails continue on 12/3

The new fabric was ordered and received yesterday. Basically what we're
doing now is, due to the sheer number of orders we've been getting, we
have decided to use a company with a CNC machine to do all of the cuts for
us. We found one today. They will be cutting 20 tables' worth of wood
for us on Friday, including yours. As I said, I was not going to push
yours back to the back of the line. I can give you an update either by
this weekend or Monday at the latest.

Dave

Note, weekend and Monday pass.... I send off this email sometime inbetween, I dont have an exact date for it:

Havent heard anything in a while, what's up with the table?

Note the next response from Dave at PimpMyPoker is on the 21st December, 15 days since he said he'd contact me by "this weekend or Monday at the latest":

We just got all of the new materials in. Your new table was one of 20
tables that we had professionally cut by a CNC machine.....perfectly
precise cuts. I'm hoping to have your table completed by the middle of
nezxt week. I more than appreciate your patience through all of this. I
can email you either next Monday or Tuesday to update you on the progress.

Jonathan,

First, I would just like to say thank you for your patience. Hopefully it
will be worth the wait for you. Really the only left on your table is 1
or 2 more coats of stain, followed by 4 coats of polyurethane. I am
hoping to have the table completed by Tues or Wed of next week, then
picked up the next day. I will follow up either by the weekend or Monday
at the latest to let you know what is going on.

Dave

Note: Tuesday or Wednesday would have been the 10th or 11th, and the next day would've been the 11th or the 12th. My table should've been shipped the 12th at the latest.

On 1/16 I got a voicemail from Dave at PimpMyPoker saying the table was finished, and saying the table would be shipped on WEDNESDAY, and that he'd give me the tracking info, suprisingly, no shipping info arrived on Wednesday, and as I said I sent him an email on Thursday, Friday, and Monday twice, and still have gotten no response.

In short, I'd avoid PimpMyPoker at all cost, especially if you live outside their immediate delivery area.

I finally got the table, but I wouldn't recommend them

The felt on the table wasnt the one I requested. I tried contacting them about that, and nothing.
