I installed the new version to the Powerbook for the first time today. Everything seems to work in standalone ok, but I was trying to serve the Windows machine from the Mac and the connection kept dropping. The log is reproduced below.
There's three attempted connections there - it always seemed to bomb out at the same spot (SeatingChartSummary).
Data problem? X-platform issue? Or something else?
Cheers,
Peter

This should've been fixed in the version posted on 2/18. It was a problem in the 2/17 version |

Well it was a fresh download to the Mac today - first time v2 has been run on this machine, so there are no older versions on it. |

You know, I thought of that late last night after I finished getting my ass handed to me in my home game.
You were right, the Windows client had the previous version. Just tested it and it looks ok.
Next week is the monthly tournament. My plan is to run in Client/Server mode so I can have screens up at two sides of the room, and I can use my Sony Ericsson T-610 to control the program (rebuys, eliminations, etc) from my seat using bluetooth.
It'll also be the first tourney with my new 10-seater racetrack table.
Full report will be posted in the appropriate forum following the event. |

I just had the exact same issue happen last night with my first trial of the software with fresh downloads yesterday PM. Could not get the client to stay connected - and did not have this issue with an early version. Both PC's were running new version downloaded yesterday... |

Careful when you say "I had the exact same problem"... the problem you are describing is not the same.
The "local class incompatable" error that "Guest" is getting is due to the fact that the client and server are different versions. *Both* client and server need to be the latest version. If you look in the "Help->Build Info" section on both client and server and it does say the exact same thing, then they aren't the same version.
"Local class incompatable" means that the server is sending info on a "chip" that doesn't make sense to the client, or in other words, the server has a newer version of the chip class than the client...or in other words the client and server are not the same version.
Also, please send bugs to drneau@drneau.com. I really don't want people to have to rely on reading the bulletin board to fix issues. _________________ --

My apologies. I thought I had replaced the older version but it was downloaded to another location. Works fine now. (Outside of no sound on the client - but I'll send an e-mail on that) |

Sounds on client just hasn't been re-implemented yet.
I changed the core data structure in v2, which now allows you to have several audio clips loaded. Just need to write the part that streams them to the client. It's on the list. |
