Just got the call from Peter's Billiards that my table is in.

Now we just need to move into the new house.

Here's a link:

http://www.tribilliards.com/game_tables/darafeev_texasholdem.htm

Note: I had it done with Simonis fabric (same as our pool table) and no silk screening.

It's being done in a finish similar to the pool table we're getting. Here's the link to that: http://www.brunswickbilliards.com/brunswick_collection/tables/european/montebello.html
And this was thrown in as a special: http://brunswickbilliards.com/brunswick_collection/furniture/pub_table_and_chairs.html
And this is going to be on the wall: http://brunswickbilliards.com/brunswick_collection/cue_racks/centennial_wall.html
For a conversation piece, I went with the TV balls: http://brunswickbilliards.com/brunswick_collection/pocket_balls/tv_centennial_balls.html
Along with the Peter's Standard dart cabinet (to hold my old Master Challenger) done in dark cherry: http://petersbilliards.com/gameroom/FoosballMore/Dartboards/Standard/index.html

Here's a link to the floorplan to show how it all lays out: http://home.comcast.net/~jneau/Images/NeauLowerLevel.pdf

Can't wait. Who's in for the first tourney?

I was out at the house yesterday. Basement is drywalled and the bar cabinetry has been delivered...ooooooo.

Next steps:
- Taping, mudding and sanding
- Spray ceiling
- Install bar cabinetry
- Install trim
- Install bar countertop (granite on work surface, wood on bar surface)
- Install bar applicances (frig, ice maker, dishwasher, microwave)
- Install flooring
- Install lighting
- Have gaming equipment delivered
- Install alcohol
- Host first tournament

- Install entertainment center
- Purchase 60" Sony widescreen LCD Projection (when I find a good deal)

Question, which of these cooktops are required in the ultimate gameroom bar?: http://wolfappliance.com/wolf/integratedcooktops.asp

Unless you are just stuck on LCD and Sony you might want to try a Toshiba DLP.....I got one last year (62") and love it........plus the HD DVR and I don't miss a thing....

PS I actually ordered the thing online....saved $700....it was a bit scary spending $2700 for a tv from a company I didn't know however......(arrived in 3 days....via Fedex Freight)

Sure, the picture is excellent. But I have a few issues with Toshiba. First TV we got, the bulb in the unit came dead.... so we returned it for a new TV. On the second TV, the bulb burnt out after 5 months of use. The first replacement was free under the manufacturers warranty, because it happened within a year, but at $250 a bulb, if this is the kind of bulb-life I can expect, the price of a Toshiba TV can increase drastically.

You must have gotten a lemon.....or did someone touch the bulb when installing the replacement....(the oil from your hands can cause them to burn out early)..........I've had mine for almost a year and no problems.........

Shocked

Shocked

Is that a self build or contracted? Either way it gives me something to shoot for.

Between my bar and the chip cabinet on Scott's forum, I'm going to be busy for a long time.

Room's looking good doc.

And if you get sick of scoring your poker games on that chalkboard I can give you the name of a great poker tournament management program that does nearly everything for you.....

What to do with all the stupid shot glasses I bought in college:

a) Throw them away
b) Let them sit on the lower part of the bar countertop
c) Box them up
d) Give them away as awards at tournaments.

Actually, I was thinking that "d" is a really good way to get rid of crap I don't want anymore.
