I'm now working on the ability to print stuff from the app.
Printing from Java is new to me, so expect the printing capability to be basic at first and become more sophisticated over time.
I've initially identified the following as printable items:
Betting Schedule - The schedule for the tournament...round names, durations, bet amounts, limit types. Eventually you'll be able to select columns.
Checklist - Checklist groups, checklist items with notes, etc.
League Standings - Current league standings that are loaded into the app.
Payout Schedule - The payout schedule, all tiers, etc.
Seating Chart - The seating chart as it exists at that point in time.
Sign-in Sheet - A sign-in sheet with all expected players, and a checklist for whether they have shown up/paid/etc. Also, blank lines to add more names as unexpected people show.
Tournament History - Complete tournament history that lets you select which types of items to include.
Tournament Flyer - A flyer for the tournament...title, description, financal info, bounty info, etc.
Any other ideas??? _________________ --

Chip color chart for the "remote" tables?
The abilty to print these elements is a great addition to TM, the software keeps getting better all the time, nice idea.
I have been chatting TM up over at Chiptalk.net hope it has sent some eyes your way. _________________ Lifes too short to play with cheap chips |

If you have a graphics app with a "screen capture" feature you could grab an image of the tourney console and then crop the image down to just the chip values frame and print it out.
In the Ripley's "believe it or don't" column... one of the easiest for this is an old-old-old-old app called "RIPTIDE" from Vorton Technologies (Win95/98 era)
I still have it on my machines for just that purpose... it's the easiest and slickest piece of software for resizing, cropping, converting from one format to another, etc.... & screen captures. (All of the screen captures you've seen me put up here were done using it) And the whole process of Capture, crop (resize if needed) would take about 10 seconds.
Like my avatar for example.... which is just a cropped & resized version of the one on my linked profile in my sig. line.
That avatar took longer to upload here than it did to make... & I'm on cable
Copies are still available on eBay for about 3 bucks... and it's as easy to use as spilling your coffee. _________________ - Dix |

Even just exporting the text for blinds and color/ chip values would be cool.
The tourney went well last night- 1st time to use the software.
See ya.

Chip color chart is a good idea. I'll put it on the list.
It would print the chips and values using the designs from your chip config panel.
The other dream I have...letting you design your own chips in the tool and save them off...rather than being stuck with one of the built-in designs. _________________ --

Love the idea of creating your own chip designs. Been eagerly awaiting the doc to go on a chip design implementing spree. |
