So I'm trying to make a few bucks on the side throught my WetCollegeRadio.net site by posting a few Google Ads and such. I get the great idea to see if any of the on-line poker sites have a similar program. UB.com has been giving me the long distance runaround, but PartyPoker.com has a whole affiliate program set up. So I register my site, download the approved graphics, and get it set up on the site.

About a week later, a strange box arrives in my mailbox with a return address in Vancover, Canada. Odd... I open it up, and it's all sorts of PartyPoker.com pamphlets, cards, hats, CDs! Looks like at my next game, I'll have something to pass out to everyone! I guess you're supposed to put your affiliate code on the flyers so that if anyone signs up, you get the credit.

Has anyone else out there tried similar schemes to offset web site costs?

-Max
Stay away from wooden nickels, and don't trust whitey... Got it!

I had a partypoker.com affiliate account through a website I had called ncaatournament.org. I was getting a fair amount of traffic until the NCAA sent their lawyers after me. I shut it down because it wasn't worth that kind of hassle...

Anyway... PartyPoker did send me a nice hat with a WPT Logo after I logged my first sign-up.

I have since moved away from PartyPoker to FullTilt because I thought PartyPoker was a little shady.

There were a few articles on how 3rd party software programs could access the player data of PartyPoker (and all other associated sites).

I wish I had saved the link to the actual website of the articles and where you could purchase the software. It makes you wonder if even some data is accessible by outside parties, is all of it accessible. Including the actual in-hand data.

Ya know - I'm just waiting for that to come out into the open about all on-line play. It would seems to me it wouldn't be that hard to steal the server-client stream and manipulate it.

I also wondered what the guarentee was that you're playing with all 52... It'sa bit to easy to tilt the odds one way or another if it's all just 1's and 0's in the end...

Thanks for the heads-up - I'll look into the other site as well. Can't have too many ads on one page!!!

-Max
Just kidding about the ads - I hate them too...

Are you talking about www.pokertracker.com? It saves and lets you analyse hand histories at tables that you played at - only hands that went to showdown are revealed though. For partypoker & its skins, you can also get hand histories of tables that you merely observe.

Just curious... (and a plug) How much you paying for the site... I can most likely get it to you cheaper... (like $50 per YEAR or less depending.)
My website is www.bubweb.com... DON'T buy online yet the cart is in testing... I will hook you up if you email me.
Dr. If this is an illegal post I will gladly edit it or remove it to your liking.

I think I have the ehostpros silver plan...
500MB storage, 15GB bandwidth, about $70 per year.

For me, the bandwidth is the issue. Those 3MB downloads add up. I'm doing about 3GB a month in traffic right now.

Yep - that's what I'm on... They had the best price/space/bandwidth ratio that I could find...

I contacted UltimateBet.com to see if they had a banner type advertisement program that I could put on my site that would feed refferal bonuses to my account, but they never responded to me.

Oh well, maybe I'll write them again and try to get a response.

Go to https://www.ultimatebet.com/affiliates/content/login.html, you can sign up to their affiliate scheme from there.

Cheers,
