It IS possible to undo actions in Dr. Neau's Tournament Manager, but a simple "undo" will not do...you need to go to the History tab and delete the event representing the action you did not want to take.

To understand why, let's peek inside the application.

Each time you take financial action on a player (buy-in, rebuy, add-on or elimination), an event is added to an ordered log. This is the log that appears on the history tab.

Modifying the log (adding/deleting/changing events) causes the log to be revalidated and the state of all players (along with many other player attributes) is then calculated based on the sequence of events in the event log.

So, this gives you the ability to actually remove any event (ex: accidentially bought an add-on for someone who bought a rebuy)...and in the future, you'll have the ability to modify any event (ex: change who rebought) or insert events into specific spots in the log (ex: "Whoops, I forgot to eliminate you before eliminating Steve!").

The validation comes into play to make sure that the log is good. So, for instance, let's say the log has 3 events:
- 1. Tom buys in
- 2. Jeff buys in
- 3. Jeff eliminates Tom
Event #3 prevents you from deleting event #1 or event #2. Why? If you delete #1, that means Tom never bought in, which then means that Jeff couldn't have eliminated him. If you want to get rid of #1, then #3 has to go first.
